Ursula's story
Ursula has been with us for a few weeks now. If you've seen her, you'll have noticed that she's not available for adoption yet; she'd been under observation, and she's currently being treated for heartworm. She's a little down and out right now, and might be retreating into a back corner when you come visit...oh, because you're definitely going to want to visit, as you keep an eye on this sweet girl.
She's a little sheepish while she gets used to her surroundings here; turns out her vision doesn't seem to be so great either. I actually didn't catch on to this until a few minutes into our time together; she's good at analyzing her environment, she just needs to process it all on her own time.
But as you can see, her favorite time is spent with her person. We shared a wonderful moment together (capped off with a good cry), as she is such a sweet, sensitive soul that wraps her little paws around your heart, and doesn't let go, even after you've parted.
Ursula will be available for adoption after her treatment, or perhaps her future will be best served at a rescue. Couldn't hurt to get an application in now though, eh? In the meantime, JCAS will make sure she gets the best of both care and opportunity. Keep an eye on this girl, she may just be the life partner you didn't realize you needed.
